Niko Karassik is a drummer, producer, recording engineer, mixer, and multi-instrumentalist from Portland, Oregon. He developed a deep understanding of percussion styles from around the world while studying under his godfather Joe Janiga. He went on 4 tours during his adolescence, visiting Los Angeles, Monterey Jazz Festival, and Las Vegas. It was during these tours that he discovered a love for performing and recording music.

He furthered his musical journey in LA by studying privately with Paul Kreibich at Santa Monica College, as well as learning and playing with Stanley Clarke. You can hear him playing regularly in Los Angeles with many different groups in many different styles.

He has performed at The Broad Stage, The Moroccan Lounge, Whiskey a go-go, the 1905, and many more stages along the west coast. He has recorded albums at Universal Studios, Paramount Studios, Studio at the Palms Las Vegas, LMU recording studios, and many more. He continues to let his passion for music drive him forward in his life.
